Our new Lameness Locator diagnostic equipment assists us in detecting and
quantifying body movement asymmetry in the subject horse by using small, body
mounted sensors and our tablet PC. The procedure is completely painless,
non-invasive and is fast and simple, using this new instrumentation. Our data is
collected immediately and we can perform our usual lameness evaluation routine
with no distraction and have additional data.
Lameness Evaluations Diagnosis and evaluation of lameness in horses can begin in the field
with our mobile unit, at your location. If need be at this point we can advise
you to bring the horse into the clinic for further evaluation if required. Or we
can do the full exam at the clinic if that is more convenient for you and your
horse.
Lameness Evaluation -
Senior Horses Dr. Juan Garcia examines this bay gelding, in many cases the evaluation
can lead to a successful diagnosis right in the field. We will do our utmost to
limit the travel on lameness cases, however in some situations the best course
for recovery could lead to a short stay at the clinic. This senior gelding had
broken pelvis.

by Dr. Juan Garcia was done in the field. This case was recommended to be
brought to the Clinic because of the severity of it, as more extensive work was
going to be required. Our clinic is fully equipped with all the latest
technology to assist in providing the best possible care for your horse.
